This made my day....
Edited on Sat Sep-11-04 08:54 PM by sfecap
OK, so here in Santa Fe seeing Kerry/Edwards bumper stickers is just the norm...they are everywhere, along with loads of anti * bumper stickers...

The few pro * bumper stickers are usually seen on out of state cars, particularly from Texas, as we have many Texans who vist here or live here part time. (The idiot's best buddy (a lifelong Democrat, BTW)lives here, the chimp stays at his house when he comes to town...)

So today I'm out driving and I'm behind this nice Mercedes, and I notice a Kerry/Edwards bumper sticker...and then I realize that the car has Texas plates!

Made my day....Texans for Kerry, gotta love 'em! :-)

2. I'm from Texas
and actually, MOST people do not have stickers here. But of those that do, I see quite a few Kerry stickers. Wooo!

3. Many of us "Texans" are considering moving there...
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I am looking to move there (most likely around Taos) in a few more years. The main reasons being
1) It reminds me of Austin 20 years ago
2) It is progressive politically (I was ask numerous times on the street if I was registered last time I was there - dems of course)
3) The people are really laid back and nice (again like Austin used to be)
4) Heavy investment in alternative energy
5) AND.... Its fucking beautiful

You are very lucky....

4. I live south of you
and my neighborhood sign count was 4 Kerry, one Badnarik and no Bush. I live reasonably close to the air base, too, and a lot of folks around here are military. I don't know how far afield you'd have to go to find Bush signs. Roswell, maybe, or Las Cruces.

5. Last night CNN had a ticker saying Bush just went ahead of Kerry
in New Mexico (and that was followed by some additional shit about how, then, he is opening up quite a lead in this election, blah, blah). Anyway, about fell out of my chair. I know it's close all over the place but I thought Kerry had a decent lead in NM. Please tell me what the hell is going on..........please...........

10. Maze---what in the hell are these assholes drinking at CNN??
You know the problem is that they throw crap like that out and repeat it on the ticker all night long and it has to demoralize Dems in NM to see it!! I cannot believe with Richardson down there that this is going into the Bush column.

While I dont live there, I was there for 2 weeks in early July. I can testify NM will go for Kerry. They are fired up in that state and they are working hard to get out the vote.

I gave several of the volunteers atta-boys/girls I saw on the street. That was back in July mind you......

13. That takes effort to be a
repug and decide to put one of those on your car!

Will other repugs harrass them like they do us?
