3. No
Powell's stances on AA and Abortion are too liberal for the Republican Party.

And if Santorm ever became president, I would just cry. His smug smirk is worse than Bush's.

6. If he remains healthy McCain's a shoe-in
And we all should be concerned.

McCain has a very Reagan-like quality that allows him to appeal across party lines.

9. That's what scares me about him
He seems to be willing to whore out his opinion to just about anybody.

12. And it works.
He gets away with it. He would be a bad matchup for Kerry in 2008.

13. But the thing about McCain
is that the religious right hates him. If he were to win the nomination, that in itself would be a big sign that the chri$tian wing of the gop had been marginalized, which would be a hugely positive development for the nation as a whole. :)

7. my two cents
Guiliani will wear very thin across middle america-
Powell- he made the mistake of being right about iraq, and then letting him have his head handed to him by a bunch of neo-con idealogues. plus there's that little matter of my lai in his history.
Santorum- he's not as smart as bush.
McCain- probably
My guess is one of those faceless senate suits from the midwest- Bond, or one of those guys.
Liddy Dole.

Let'em all run; let'em carve each other to pieces.

It'll be Kerry running for re-election in '08.

10. Trent Lott perhaps?
It'd be funny just to see him lose. Frist will probably run. Santorum may run, but he might be waaay to conservative to win. Giuliani will probably run. That's a scary list I'm making.
