4. Ummm....NO!
Kerry's service has nothing to do with the events of today and he should stop taking Bush's bait by spending his energy responding to the past.

Kerry should talk about tomorrow, not yesterday.

14. Don't sweat the low-post-count criticisms. We were all there, once.

I'm really sorry that the forum is like this right now. A lot of people are super-sensitive due to the proximity of the election.

Just stay within the rules and post what you believe...you'll do fine here.

6. He can't.
He's a civilian now, and therefore he isn't authorized to wear the uniform. It would be a serious breach of protocol and he'd never hear the end of it.

8. No, Possibly Illegal and beside the last one to do that was Nixon
If I remember correctly, it against Federal Law for a Uniformed Person to campaign for public office. Nixon did it during his first congressional campaign. You want Kerry to emulate Nixon????? Why do you hate America so?

23. This is a mistake
....Kerry has fallen into Roves trap. By getting caught up in the Military Hero angle. Let's examine some recent "war heros".

Max Cleland...served his counrty, lost limbs, decorated. Voted out of office.

Bob Dole, lost an arm, deocrated war hero, SERVED in the senate for years..etc etc...and he lost to a draft dodger.

And a local race here where I am from...in a Republican District..D-Dennis Moore, defeated Adam Taff-R for the house...Taff is a decorated former air force pilot..and could not win in a republican leaning district.

Many of you here, and others...are mistakenly going to push the Bush service record.

It doesn't matter to the voters. Rove has sucked Kerry into this pissing contest over service in Nam, etc etc etc...it's the perfect diversion to things that matter to the swing voters. The voters already know what they have in Bush...digging up dirt 4 years after he has been elected will have no bearing. Just like digging up Clintons womanizing past, after he was already pres...had no bearing on the outcome of the 96 elections...people knew what they had in Clinton by that time.

Not because Bill Clinton was a "draft dodger". Nice choice of words.

27. i noticed that also
and Dole is an asshole as he has shown with attacks on Kerry. i remember clinton defended dole when people attacked him on his age. he also praised and honored his military record.

dole is lucky he had a man with class running against him unlike the piece of shit kerry is running agianst and who dole disgustingly supports.

33. the point is that Miliatary service means next to nothing to Voters
Spin it any way you want to..but the point is, Military service DOES NOT MATTER TO VOTERS...you can look at election, after election after election. I realize I am brand new here, but I have been reading this board for months and it amazes me how many of us here refuse to call a spade a spade. Having said that, Clinton was a draft dodger. Do you have some other more positive term to use for the act of dodging a draft? I am not saying Clintons reason were good or bad..or what he did was wrong or right..simply stating that he dodged a draft. And I am calling out those who think exposing bushs service record is going to mean anything. It's a waste of time. there are so many other issues that ARE RELAVANT TO VOTERS that should be talked about, but instead we are diverting our efforts to military service....wich is the way rove wants it.
