Kerry on C-SPAN coming up right now!
Speaking before the CBC (Congressional Black Caucus).

Intoducer mentions that w was invited and didn't show up. In fact he never met with the CBC.

If your morale is down, listen and watch and learn.

5. "Faith without deeds is dead."
"It is not enough, my brother, to say you have faith when you don't have deeds. Faith without deeds is dead."

I like that. :D

6. Watching
He's had some very good lines. Talked about deeds like the previous poster mentioned.

7. "We are not going to stand by...
and allow another million African-American votes to go uncounted in this election.

"We will fight tooth and nail to make sure every vote is counted and every vote counts!"

I like that too. :D

9. I thought it was a very powerful speech.
I liked the statement, "I want to tell George Bush, Dick Cheney and the Republican Party, I served and defended my country as a young man and I will serve and defend my country as President"

Standing ovation.

He hit Bush everywhere, on everything. Iraq, economy, Medicare, Healthcare, Job loss, Darfur, disenfranchisment of our black community, lack of funding for education and no child left behind, two Americas and Smirks so called compassionate conservatism. His analogy with the good Samaritan story was sheer genius.

10. My family and I watched him live earlier. I thought his speech
was pretty darn good! He spoke to more of a variety of issues and gave clearer arguments. He had more spit and seriousness. Perhaps, he will surprise everyone yet!? Woohoo

I like that he added the topic of Darfur; no one in the other camp has mentioned that problem--not that I'm aware of anyway. I like that he attempted to point out the real spiritual aspects of "how it's suppose to go", especially since Wheorge doesn't get it at all!! TAKE THAT you whacko Churchiosity fundies!

I like that he got wound up towards the end of his speech. I like how he gave honorable mention to those whose work in congress and elsewhere has been decent but much ignored. I liked his promises.

It was good. GO KERRY/EDWARDS!!! :kick:
