For sheer rabble-rousing mass mobilization nothing on the web beats DU. Usually that's all good.

But when the Republican enemy's memes are allowed to infect and demoralize us, it's not so good.

...was where the AWOL story first developed. A small group worked with Marty Heldt to work the story from his FOIA request for Bush's military records. It was both exciting and terribly depressing, as we could not break through the media filter to bring the info to the American public before election 2000.

to see one citizen work so hard to unearth so much and depressing to see the entire media reject it.
