Supreme Court just turned down appeal from Donofrio about Obama's birth controversy.
Edited on Mon Dec-08-08 10:15 AM by pnwmom
Just heard on MSNBC.

Donofrio is the guy from N.J. who was claiming that Obama was not a "natural born citizen" because his father was a citizen of Kenya.

13. huh????
To: cycle of discernment
So Obama won.

He fought all the way to the Supreme Court to avoid showing his birth certificate. /golfclap

Anyone else, for any other job, and that person would be called a nutcase to spend so much money, to avoid such a simple task.

Clearly its over, but to anyone who thinks about this in a critical manner, its clear that he had a terrible secret to hide.

***************************************************************************************
:wtf: are they talking about???

Obama didn't take this to the Supreme Court!!

What the fuck is wrong with those people?????

When the crazies say something is looney ..... well, it's extrasuperlooney.

11. No, I didn't predict that.
But that would have been my worst nightmare. I raised questions here and got more information that helped me not worry -- although I was glad to get this decision out of the way today.

15. Uh, weren't you "raising questions" about how the evil Court would overturn democracy again?
Raising questions is a euphemism for raising "concerns." The reality is, there was zero reason to be concerned at all, and the only reason that this announcement counts as "news" is because of crazy wingnut hysteria and the actions of a crazy, lunatic serial lawsuit filing nutjob.

19. I was raising honest questions and -- unlike the conspiracy theorists --
the answers I got satisfied me.

But no, I don't have any particular reason to trust that Court. Not after what they were willing to do in 2000. (And the Court has only gone downhill since then.)

Here is a good quote from one of the sites entirely devoted to the lost cause:
People...we have just been completely dismissed! There is not a court in this land let alone any blue state that will take this on now...SCOTUS is guilty..they have just set precedent..each state..espeacially the blues will have power in knowing SCOTUS would not touch it..so what do they have to fear now...nothing...they have just sealed our fate as nothing more than nutty conspiracy theorists!!!
