Has Bob Grahams charges in "Intelligence Matters" been forgotten?
Senator Graham claimed that Bush covered up Saudi involvement in 9-11. Kerry called for an independent investigation into the cover up. Now all we hear about is "forged documents" about Bush and his National Guard "service". Have Bush/Cheney sidetracked the media to avoid investigations into the Saudi cover up?

2. I'm afraid we can't expect coverage of this from our media --
they are supporting Bush, and this reflects very badly on him and his administration. It's also the kind of issue that requires a bit of education by the press, and our press no longer does that.

3. Yes they have, but
in some ways the left has helped by not focusing entirely on this important issue and instead has felt compelled to play the same kind of political game as KKKarl Rove. If you saw Sen. Graham on Hardball and Chris Matthews' obvious slighting of the subject then the answer is obvious: The alleged forgery of documents and the inferrence that the DNC resorted to such measures, not to mention sullying the name and credibility of Dan Rather as a "liberal media" operative, makes for better television. IMHO

6. even without active press bias, there is a REAL problem ...
With Bush and his incompetence, corruption, and dishonesty, it is such a target rich environment that there is no ONE thing to concentrate on. There are DOZENS of things and this may well be a large problem for the Good Guys.

Bush is a fraud. There are numerous examples of this fighting for attention.

Bush is incompetent. Geez, take your pick of which to press because there just isn't enough time in the day to press all of them.

Bush is corrupt. Same-same. Do we go ENRON, Harkin, insider trading, system manipulation in TANG, and so on and on and on.

I mean ... hell ... they could go 24/7 about this and talk about nothing else. While it would be nice, it won't happen. Not unless it's about a Democrat, of course.

8. Exactly.
I think you've identified one of the problems. Ironically, there is so much to talk about that the message is diffused, confusing. It is not adding up to a big picture.

For the last several months, Kerry should have been reinforcing a few general themes...dishonesty, incomptence, closeness to corporations. A "vessel" needed to be created into which all the specific problems could have been poured. Eventually, the vessel would fill and spill over. Instead, the vessel has a whole in the bottom and the Sibel Edmonds, Medicare, environment, and Plame issues just get poured in and run out. There is no construction of a big picture.

just to help out in it's ranking @ Amazon. Came in the mail on Weds. For DUers, much of it is "preaching to the quire". However I like to have such books laying around the house when my bonehead fundy father n law shows up. I love to tweak him with well respected "insider" authors that explain the real facts of life to the reader.

9. I say yes
There's been hardly a peep, except for Tweety's appalling interview with Graham. Lou Dobbs did a pretty good one with him, but I havent heard anything about it since then.

It's OUT isnt it? I ordered it, but havent received, but I swear Ive seen on here people have it. I guess it will be ignored.

Let's see how much press K Kelley gets this coming week.
:kick:

10. No. Graham is on Late Edition NOW,
I also heard his book mentioned on several other Sunday shows this morning. It's not been as hot as the memos story, but it's definately still out there.
