Ad: Pic of newly returned vet named Max Cleland "John Kerry spoke for me."
Edited on Sun Sep-12-04 12:11 PM by blm
"When I was laying in a ditch at the side of the road, unable to lift myself, there was a young veteran named John Kerry giving so many of the vets like me a voice."

"He spoke out against a war that was dividing our nation and being perpetuated by political cowards, men who could not admit they were wrong."

" John Kerry is a man who is fearless in the face of enemy fire, and fearless in the face of wrongheaded policy."

Or something like that. I'm no writer. I also think other vets, disabled or not, should look into the camera and explain how Kerry spoke for them. Seems to me the media has forgotten that most of America was against the Vietnam war when Kerry spoke. He spoke for most of America and most returning vets at that time.

Run this ad for just one week, and enough with it. Vietnam Vets Association could sponsor the ad. The top guy there is a FORCE to be reckoned with.

1. Kerry reading his own testimony would be very powerful
Edited on Sun Sep-12-04 01:11 PM by Kerryfan
I don't care what the polls say, the majority of people in this country know the Vietnam war was wrong and if they hear what Kerry really said, all of it, not the cropped, editied version in the liars ad, and he would tie it into Iraq today, I think his number would jump back to where they were and even higher. And he also mush read the speech he gave to the Senate before the IWR vote.

For God's sake people, he was right on Vietnam and if he stresses Congress was LIED to, he can show he is right now on Iraq and the people will be with him. And for good measure he can stress how has always fulfilled his committments, without even mentioning AWOL.

He did not drop in points because of lies about his economic record so why does anyone think he can get these people back by talking about the economy ? I doesn't make any sense.

He must hit the Vietnam testimony and the courage and righteousness of it and how the liars twisted it. He must expose the lies told about Iraq vote, the lies about his flip-floping, and get into the 9/11 report.

Sorry blm, meant to add, I think your ad is terrific !

Come on John, I know you are up to it. Don't let anyone tell you it will turn people off. That is bovine munure.

2. I really am hoping the Vietnam Vets Association is listening.
There is SO much power in truth when it is told directly and en masse.
