Cheney: "I did not say if Kerry is elected, we will be hit by a terrorist"
Uh, Ok then dicky. What exactly DID you say?

"The vice president said what he had meant was that if the United States is attacked again, he believed Kerry would fall back on a "pre-9/11 mind-set" on foreign policy instead of the "pre-emptive" doctrine pursued by President Bush (news - web sites). "

Well thanks for clearing that up. I guess his words need interpretation now. Is that nuance I hear from the vice chicken?

Im really tired of them getting away with this shit. Why hasnt someone from the campaign called him on this?

3. Well, that will be the end of it, then
You won't hear another peep about this, or about Stupidhead saying the war on terror couldn't be won, or any of the rest of it.

Hey, didja hear that Kerry said the word "sensitive"?

5. "pre-9/11 mind-set"
This is stunning it's audacity.

Was John Kerry sitting in the Oval Office before 9/11? WHO had the "pre-9/11 mind-set?"

Having a "pre-emptive doctrine" would've been illustrated by REACTING TO THE AUG. 6TH MEMO.

Unbelievable. And people are so stupid that this irony goes clean over their heads.

9. Why didn't he say what he actually meant?
Is he saying that he is as bad as shrub in mixing up his words? He said exactly what he meant to say. Hearing him say it was pretty bad, but watching him sitting there so calmly threating Americans, well that sent chills down my spine.

10. Which time was Dick Cheney lying
He did mean what we thought he meant; and I'll just bet that Jon Stewart will have that big flip-flap on soon. Cheney is simply getting too much backlash from his rheoteric. People are beginning to hold him to some of his hate-filled remarks.

:spank: :scared: To Cheney

11. One of those times when one wishes for a pinnochio curse.
Wouldn't it be funny, every time he tries to parse his words in denying it, his knows only gets longer.

12. At least the media actually replays the Cheney clip when they ask
what other Pubs think of his statement. They aren't letting they get away with, Awe, he didn't say that" excuse.

I do find it pretty amusing that we have had to listen to a whole lot of "But he meant to say" statements lately. They aren't all about Shrub anymore, now it's Cheney too. They even had to interpret Zells speech!

Sounds like screwups to me!!!

14. That's pretty good considering the pre-911 mindset includes the fact
Edited on Sun Sep-12-04 03:15 PM by acmavm
that bush* & Co. stated that they didn't want to hear anymore about Al Quaeda, they refused to listen to Clinton when he told them (as he was leaving office) that Al Quaeda was the biggest danger that this country faced, and that Tenet, according to Clarke, was in the offices of administration officials daily 'with his hair on fire' warning about terrorist attacks.

That pre-911 mindset?
