Talking Point: Bogus Forgery charge started at Hate Group website
Spread it wide, spread it high. Freerepublic.com is a racist website. Anyone on that post on that site condones the action of racist. Therefore they are quilty of being racist too.

2. Is there a collection of choice quotes
That we can use to back this up in our communications with the media, etc.?

A sort of "worst of freerepublic.com"

4. I think....
...you can find some stuff at americanpolitics.com. They've been tracking FR. And Dan Moldea has some stuff at his site. www.danmoldea.com. And there might be something at politicalamazon.com.

My all-time low post came from a post their (now former) attorney wrote of the Clintons:

“Why be so easy on the Clintons? Even after they are dead, I say we stuff their bodies, fix them in some kind of preservative and display them at county fairs across the nation, on a rotating basis where the citizenry can have fun putting cow dung on them (remember that’s ‘art’). If that’s not in good taste, their bodies should be flattened thin as possible, again fixed in some kind of preservative and hoisted up a flag pole to flap in the wind.”

3. I've been monitoring freerepublic.com for eight years
The hatred there has chilled me to my soul on various occasions. Racism, homophobia, anti-American, anti-democratic. It's all there. Their numbers have dwindled as most of the true conservatives have abandoned the place and the willfully ignorant Bushbots remain. But they apparently are being used for research purposes by someone who plants the kernel of an idea and they go after it. The center of the Bushbots are mostly elderly ladies such as the poster named "Howlin" -- mean old women who spend a lot of time lusting after photos of George W. (yes, they do) and hating the Clintons. Too bad Howlin didn't spend more time with her son and less time stirring up lies.

7. How would that make us like them? We are exposing their true nature.
Our website is an open book for all to see.

8. We hate them because they are racists
If there ever a reason to hate, that is the one.

9. Someone REALLY ought to point out to the media that this
forgery rumor was started at the very same site that featured the bigoted comments of one of the co-authors of the anti-Kerry Swift Vets' book.

10. Are you sure it "started" there?
I wouldn't think they were smart enough for that kind of thing. We may have read it there first, but I can't believe they didn't hear it or read it at another hate filled site. Just doesn't sound like something they would have the cognitive ability to research.

11. It appeared there and on some right-wing blogs at about the
same time.

I posted a thread about that earlier. My guess is that some Republican operatives were throwing crumbs to the digital brownshirts, who then, predictably, saturated the media with phone calls, faxes, emails, etc. It works every time.

12. By the way, it wasn't smart. It involved some speculation
that the distorted copies of documents he saw on the internet resembled the originals. So you had people suddenly trying to examine things like letter and line spacing in documents that had been through generations of copies, faxes, etc.

It came off as being very desperate and sad, if you ask me. The stupidity came from those media who gave credence to cyber speculation and "rumor mills," as Rather aptly called them.
