From the host's closing comments...
"There's one similarity between Vietnam and Iraq, and one big difference, that I will conclude with.
"The similarity is in both cases we're following the same failed strategy. We are creating more enemies than we are killing by our strategy and tactics.
"The difference is, in Vietnam -- as opposed to Iraq-- George Bush had an exit strategy."
A classic line that must be reused. It emphasizes Bush's dodging Vietnam and incompetence in Iraq.

Veterans Institute for Security and DemocracyI found it interesting that these veterans were all focused on *today* and the war in Iraq, whilst the Bush-fanatic vets were all screeching about Kerry's supposed treachery from 30+ years ago.
p.s. According to the panel discussion's host, there *is* a portrait of Kerry in Hanoi's war museum. It's a portrait of both him and John McCain, honoring their post-war efforts to rebuild the relationship with the country and to get a full accounting of POWs.
