of his Presidential campaign".

No f**king shitting, assholes.

He also didn't talk about his athletic accomplishments in high school and college, since all he was there was a f**king cheerleader.

He never even left the f**king country during the Viet-Nam war, even Karl Rove couldn't make up a story to make that asshole look heroic.

What a stupid comment from the right wing Repukes.

1. Rove & Co. made his military service the centerpiece.
Trying to smear it. Had they not done this, it would be somewhere on the backburner.
This is like Clinton making his sexual encounters a centerpiece.
Ken Starr did that.

2. What are you saying louis c.?
1: This is a non-statement outside of a context (which one would presume you'd provide). Is it your opinion? If so, the quotes are misplaced. Can't tell from your post.

2: This "statement" is innacurate. Bush has made his service an issue by a) landing on a deck of a carrier in a military uniform he doesn't deserve to wear, and b) ordering our troops to do something he wasn't willing to do.

3: Would really like to know WHY you made this post.

Gyre

8. The quote is one I hear
constantly from Repukes from fox news, nit-wit radio, to personal contact.

The quote is what I hear from them, the unquoted remarks are my responses.

Naturally, Bush didn't make his Viet-Nam service a centerpiece, he was an AWOL draft dodging, malingering, lying, drug addicted, alcoholic, arrogant, spoiled, rat bastard asshole.

On the other hand, Kerry really was a Hero, both in Viet-Nam, during his service, and when he came home to be an articulate spokesman for the truth about that war.

Now, do you get my point.

3. He made his fake military career the centerpiece
when he did his Village People flyboy dressup stunt on the aircraft carrier.

Sorry, chimp, but that stunt opened you to some very valid criticism of your fitness to wear that uniform or any other. You brought this on yourself with that particular stunt, since you dishonored that uniform you wore just like you dishonored the national guard by the way you treated your committment to it.

7. Absolutely correct! Bush opened up that can of worms and...
it is hard to believe that the media doesn't even remember that. It was a huge lie in regard to Iraq and a huge lie in regard to his so-called "service."

4. Would you make that the centerpiece of your campaign if you were Bush?
For gods' sakes, they are whining about Kerry using his military service while Bush is using 9/11 and his supposed toughness on terror. If you are so tough on terror, how come 9/11 happened asshole?

5. Yes Bush did make it a centerpiece

When he landed on a carrier in a flght suit and said "Mission Accomplished" he made it a centerpiece of his campaign.

All Bush has to run on is his tough guy on the war on terrorism image. That's it. It's all about his military leadership, so yes we should draw and quarter him over this topic.

6. Kerry used his Vietnam experience to say what he LEARNED there to apply it
to the world today and especially the war in Iraq.

What did George learn about war? How to lie us into one and send working class men to their deaths for the benefit of his wealthy corporate cronies.

9. Bush made military service a certerpiece when he
Edited on Sun Sep-12-04 04:00 PM by Chris
1) sleazed his way into the national guard
2) sleazed his way through the national guard
3) deserted his way out of the national guard

4) smeared wounded combat veterans like John McCain and Max Cleland

5) left America completely unprotected against terrorist attacks
6) ran and hid under a cornfield in Nebraska on 9/11
7) lied relentlessly to start a war against Iraq
8) pretends to be an aircraft-carrier national hero

Take your pick, or use them in combinations.

Edited on Sun Sep-12-04 04:04 PM by zidzi
Never had any service to anyone or anything except the BFEE!

Kerry showcased his service to our Country because we are now occuppying a County and the Nation needs to know he will be a Strong Leader out of this Quagmire that fuckyourselfcheney, bush, et al have gotten the US into.

I, among many, have had with these disingenous LIes that are put forth to try and explain bush.

11. B.S. remark when AWOL Bush promotes himself as commander-in-chief
It also kills me that the RW talking heads keep saying that voters have seen Bush's leadership abilities as commander in chief during the past 4 years, so what he did in the Guard doesn't matter whereas declaring open season to attack Kerry's military service is justifiable. With 9/11 occurring under babyBush's watch and his miscalculations on Iraq, he can hardly claim a record of success that would justify immunity from questions of his character and judgement.

12. ABSOLUTELY NOT! He is the "WAR" President!.....
As Skinner has posted, he has always skewed his military background to appeal to the electorate. As previous posts have allured to, "Bush and Co." would definately be using his "aircraft carrier", "flight suit", and the "mission accomplished" BANTER right now in his ads, if there was anyway that it could possibly get off the ground.:kick:

the RW pundits and callers. Coupled with the reason Kerry is being attacked is he made Vietnam the centerpiece of his convention.

What a load of BS!

* made his convention and long before that he was a "War President" best able to protect us from those evildoers. Plus he's the one who likes to go around dressed as a pretend pilot/soldier. And he uses the military shamelessly for his photo ops.
