Barack Obama hasn't served a day as President.
I just thought I'd remind some of you.

If you haven't noticed, President Bush is still President.

I certainly don't like the Warren stuff, as a gay American. But I won't throw Obama under the bus for it, because I know this isn't the first time me and him will disagree. I know he's not homophobic and I know he's strong on gay rights. I don't like some of the people Obama is picking, but I understand his calls for unity and know he wants to run a moderate White House even though he has a "lean left" way of thinking. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and hope he'll do the right things.

We wanted him in the White House. We got him.

Let's him the benefit of the doubt, trust his judgment, and hope he'll do the right thing.

He hasn't served a single day in the White House. Give him 100 days to prove himself, and then tell me what you see.

This may not be "Change We Can Believe In" yet, but I have no doubt in my mind Obama knows what he's doing.

Just thought I'd jump on the bandwagon of people calling Obama's presidency a failure before it even begins.

You:

Just mathematically speaking, which of us is more likely to be a FR troll?

... the one who joined right around the time Rush Limbaugh started Operation Chaos to take down Obama (you)

... or the one who joined right at the height of the Iraq war when Bush had a 70% approval rating and Democrats were marginalized (me)?

Yep.
Thought so.

16. I was not the one making threads on DU saying how I had a handle on FR
And I am not the one happily giving Recs to threads that support bigotry.

20. If you accused me of being a DU troll at FR, you would be right

I *DID* troll their site.

Until they caught me and banned me.

The ID over there was "Prime Mover". Look it up and see what I posted over there, if it is still in their archives.

I was doing the "work of angels". ;-)

23. Bad move, I've been TSed before for claiming someone was a freeper troll.
It doesn't end well. Take the lesson I learned to heart before claiming people are trolls.

7. I have no doubt in my mind that these same people would be attacking...
....Edwards, Biden, Clinton or Dodd if they were the nominee and the President-elect instead.

They thought after eight years of George W. Bush we were going to get an ultra-liberal White House.

It was never going to happen that way. Barack Obama promised change, he hasn't served a day. The most these people can do is give him at least 100 days to deliver on at least a little bit of change before they go on the attack and act disappointed.

11. Maybe they're realizing Obama hasn't served a day?
And don't say lunch.

I'm starving, and have nothing in the fridge. I hate being poor. Now I'll have to run by the fast food joint and get a couple dollar cheese burgers. Yuck.

3. Nice, rational response
Along with the idea of digging up video of some of the more outrageous things Warren has said so that people can see what the objection is.

amendment to the constitution outlawing gay marriage. I don't like Warren one bit. He's just a softer version (in public and in his books) than James Dobson.

But I heard what Obama said. I understand it. Still don't like it. Obama and I disagree on this. We'll see what he can actually accomplish.

12. No he hasn't, but he has sent a couple red flags popping up during his transition
The decisions he is making now will most likely reflect the approach he intends to take during his administration, so there is no reaason people shouldn't be a little concerned about some of his decisions.

I still have very high hopes and am still supportive, but I'm disappointed in the Warren choice, and I'm VERY disappointed in his choice for Secretary of the Interior, Ken Salazar. The environment is top priority with me, and Ken Salazar is way too close to Republicans and not nearly as progressive as someone like Raul Grijalva, the very progressive person who many people thought would be the best person for the job.

14. That's fine to disagree with Obama, just give him the benefit of the doubt until...
....he's at least 100 days into his White House, and we can look at what kind of Presidency he's leading.

Some DUers are already pretending that Obama is a horrible President, and he hasn't served a day.

I won't disagree with you that he's doing some disappointing actions, but I trust that he knows what he's doing and knows what he wants to accomplish. Let's see if he accomplishes it, and does what he said he would.

24. That is my general stance as well.
After 8 years, I can wait a hundred days to see what shapes up.

Rome wasn't built in a day,
and undoing Bush damage, and also gaining some ground
ain't gonna happen overnight.

I also believe that he knows what he is doing....
and it will be revealed soon enough, if he doesn't.
