Last week’s seismic voter shift to George W. Bush showed no signs of dwindling in this week’s Time Poll. Bush continues to lead Democratic challenger John Kerry among likely voters by double digits, 52% - 41%, in the three way race, with Nader at 3%, the same as last week.
Putting this into perspective, just a month ago, post-Democratic convention, the Time Poll had Kerry with a statistically significant lead over Bush, 48% - 43%.

Bush Moves Ahead of Kerry in Presidential Race, Time Poll Says
Aug. 28 (Bloomberg) -- President George W. Bush has taken the lead against Democratic nominee John F. Kerry with just a little more than two months remaining before the U.S. election, according to the latest Time magazine poll.
If the election were held today, 46 percent of those polled would vote for Bush, 44 percent would select Kerry and 5 percent would pick independent candidate Ralph Nader, Time said. Three weeks ago following Kerry's acceptance of his party's nomination, a Time poll of voters had him leading Bush 48 percent to 43 percent, with 4 percent choosing Nader. In a two-way race, both Bush and Kerry would get 46 percent of the vote.
