Phone bankers check in

Just got back from doing a weekend in Nevada for Kerry--what a great experience. Two full days of phone banking and over 500 calls. Very friendly, those Nevadans, but a lot of the Republicans just do not know what's going on. Many seniors on Medicare voting for Junior.

The Nevada Democrats were great hosts and had a terrif BBQ for us Saturday night.

Although the LV Sun just endorsed Junior (I noticed the media there, in general, has an extreme RW bias), the people on the street are pissed. Nevada will go Kerry if we get out the vote.

1. My impressions

Phone banking in MO. There's sufficient antibush sentiment to turn the bastard out. But so far, people just aren't familiar enough with Kerry. They just have to get comfortable with the idea of a president Kerry.

Bad news: fellow phone banker said a voter told her Kerry is anti-Israel. Why? Read it in a Jewish publication AND it's what they're saying at the local synagogue. Maybe that's why Gore chose Leiberman.
