Talk, Talk, Talk it up
I spent all morning at the Farmers Market and talked politics, Kerry, and Edwards.

I stayed enthusiastic, positive, and praising of Kerry. We have the MO back.

With pride, enthusiam, a smile, and great things to look forward to - TALK IT UP everywhere you go.

3. On Being Positive
I'm trying real hard to be positive. Problem is those guys fight dirty. I'm kind of at a point now where I'm torn between presenting a real upbeat message on Kerry, who I strongly support and totally dissing the Republicans because that's how they fight. No sense playing dead if you're not.

However, even when I'm being negative now. I try to be sure to finish up with an action step that basically says: "This is who John Kerry is and he's the right person for the job..." I think that's real important because of the perception, that we're all just Bush-haters without a plan. So my plan is to really begin working the theme of "On November 2nd, the Choice is Clear".

With that said, here's an illustration: A few ads from my website (http://www.bigpath.net). These and more are available for download on the site as Hi-Resolution PDFs and JPEGs. If you like them, please download, print, forward, handout, whatever you think will work. If you don't like them, let me know because I want to do this right.

4. WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL OUR LIVES?
Edited on Mon Sep-13-04 01:58 PM by rocknation
These are BRILLIANT--they look classy, present your case in a concise, easy-to-read way, and they equate the word with the culprit! I'm definitely going to make some copies and "accidentally" leave them around!

5. I've been here, not knowing where I should have been!
Thanks!

I've been working on this stuff for awhile and circulating it to a group of like 20 people, but knowing it really wasn’t going anywhere in terms of getting other people to see it.

A friend suggested I check out DU and here I am! And glad to be.

Since you appreciate it, I need your help. I'm a newbie and can't start threads or send email or any of the stuff I need to do to get this stuff into the hands of more people. Anything you can do to spread the word about the site (http://www.bigpath.net) here and anywhere else would be immensely appreciated. If I had more time, I'd do this 24/7 until November 2nd.

9. Undecideds: Hoping there are more than pollsters realize.
I've bookmarked the site and spent a little time there. Will go deeper as time allows.

I think that more than anything I try to put myself into the shoes of someone who's on-the-fence when I design and write the ads. I guess I feel that most progressive folks can be counted on and that hard-core conservatives are a lost cause. I sometimes feel that my approaches are too strident, but then I'll see or hear something that someone in the administration or the media says that I know in my heart is dead wrong, then I realize my points could actually be stronger.

Thanks for the warm welcome (so far, everyone here is really nice; does it turn bad at some point?) and, at the risk of repeating myself, as I'm new here any additional recommendations you can make to others to visit the site and download materials, would be greatly appreciated.
