Spent 4 hours working phones at Dem party HQ in NC.
Fielded alot of phone calls from regular Dems wanting bumper stickers and yard signs, but, also FOUR different calls from Republicans who also said they were so sorry they voted for Bush and now want to work to get him out.
You should hear them blast his lies. Understand this, these Republicans sound like they despise Bush as much as most of here at DU.

Heh. It was a good day.

1. great job
I am just sick of the cynicism, goddamnit, I think we're gonna win this thing, we have more people at young dems this year than we ever have, we're ready, we got people running against Chicken Wolf and Pathetic Davis, and Moran stands a great chance to be reelcted. This could be the beginning of a new era, I hope, I really hope Kerry can be one of the best presidents of all time, and knowing what I know, I think he could well be.

3. Great news!
I think there are a lot of Republicans out there who are realizing that their party has been hijacked.

4. I've met a number of Republicans
who shake their heads and say, "I just can't vote for him again."

Most of them don't know what they will do. They still can't bring themselves to vote for a Dem, so they will probably just not vote instead.

9. I think the debates will have an effect on those particular voters.
I really do. They want to vote. The debates will give them the impetus to vote for a president that makes sense.

13. Same here. Lifelong republicans. Some of whom practically shunned me...
...when I was protesting during the long-agonizing run-up to the Iraq War.

There are plenty of good republicans horrified by what this man has done.

I've not met anyone, !ANYONE! who voted for Gore or Nader or abstained who is willing to vote for Bush this time.

Landslide.

And listen up corporate media whores.

You can't stop a landslide by denying it exists.

5. Good News, blm.....just got my phone bank training yesterday...so
I'll be ready to go. But, I'm focusing on canvassing right now. And we are only allowed to target Dems with the cavassing..figure I won't get doors slammed in my face while I'm on my "training wheels."

The phone bank training had us doing the first call more as a survey asking questions and it is much more complicated so I applaud you!

16. I spent 5 hours in Kansas City at Armor & Burlington doing data entry
I'm going again tomorrow...but I'm irritated re: Kerry/Edwards signs.

I do not object to paying $5.00 but MANY others DO.

On top of that they ran out of signs before 1:15 today. It wasn't because we had TOO many signs (we had 100 on Friday)..it was because we have a shortage.

No more signs will be available until Wed.

Since this is a swing state I wish I knew where I could email and make a suggestion...any ideas?
