the information from FR came out to discredit the documents. (HE DID NOT REFUTE THEM). When he researched the source of the info from FR, he found that the guy was a Lawyer from Atlanta who does a lot of work for the Republican party. So KO's question was: Would someone in the Republican Party delibertly set up a news outlet with fake documents knowing that they would be immediately contested?

I watched the show tonight (admittedly, with distractions, so I can't swear to every single word he said) but I got the idea that he believed they were fake but that they were actually put out by the Repugs to catch CBS and Dan Rather and pretty much keep any further investigation into *'s Nat'l Guard records from going on. And he did bring up the whole thing about the Buckhead Freeper, etc. in pretty good detail, even showing that further investigation of the website and Buckhead's prior postings show he's a lawyer and * flunkie.
