It says he went to Yale and Harvard and THEN was in the TXANG...but didn't he "disappear" from the ANG and go to Harvard AFTERWARD? Or is my memory as disfunctional as my di....well....

Dumbya gradgeated from Yale and lost his deferment, Poppy got him in the TANG, he skipped OTS and was commisioned a 2nd Lt. and began flight school, he got tired or scared and went to Alabama with a banjo on his knee, sometime or another he wondered back to Texas and begged off any more Guard duty so he could go to Harvard.

Bush himself has said he left the Guard to go to business school at Harvard. I don't have the quote handy, but here's a timeline that gives context to what was going on at the time, as well as comparisons to what Kerry was doing then:
