(The idea for which I just stole from the Maher thread)
Too long for television unless someone with some serious cash wants to step up and do an ad buy, but it needs to be seen full length.
It starts with a quick note pointing out Bush found out the first plane hit, then went ahead with his photo op.
Then it runs a split screen feed for 7 minutes. No narration. No captioning.
Left hand side of the screen is the footage of Bush. Sitting. Doing nothing with his "someone tell me what to do" expression on after being told the second plane hit and the country was under attack.
Right hand side of the screen is archived news feeds covering what was going on at the same time at the towers and at the Pentagon.
And TIME INDEX and sync up both feeds with running clocks at the bottom of the screens so throughout the entire 7 excrutiating minutes there is the constant reminder that these events are happening at EXACTLY the same time. And the guy on the left side KNOWS about the events on the right side and is still. just. sitting. there.
If the campaign doesn't want to make it someone who knows how to get ideas to MoveOn send it to them.
Let anyone sit through that and then say not giving the couple dozen kids in that room the impression that something was worrying the president was the most important thing Bush had on his plate. I'm sure Moore would gladly donate the footage he's got to anyone who wanted to take up the projet.
Heck, he might make the ad himself if someone suggested it to him. Maybe I'll write an e-mail.
