Why do these bastards keep saying
"I still don't know what Kerry's stand is in Iraq"

He isn't in charge...I don't know what Bush was thinking going INTO Iraq....why don't our surrogates pounce on this...if asked where Kerry is on the Iraq issue or what is his plan..TURN the freaking tables and say "Oh I am sorry....I guess Bush HAS a plan? where is it? what is the COMMANDER IN CHEIF'S PLAN????"

1. I agree - republicans have framed the question, and media just repeats it
They continually lament that if Kerry doesn't talk about his plan he will not be a viable alternative to Bush, who despite XX$##@@!!$$ up royally is inexplicably stated to be the safer choice because at least you know where he stands.

It is brillant madness.

2. Absolutely infuriating!!!
Where are these people doing their research? LGF? Do they take any time at all to peruse Kerry's plan? It's pretty easy to get to, I think. Have they spent more than 5 seconds listening to him speak at pretty much any one of his engagements? Doubtful. How incompetent are these people and how the F#*@ did they get their jobs?

3. Yeah, Bush is the one who dug the hole
Kerry's campaign should have stressed from the beginning that Bush has screwed the situation up so badly that he has seriously limited American options. And once Kerry had established that Bush dug the hole he could then stress that he could construct the ladders we need, the alliances with other countries we need, to get us out of the hole.

6. Kerry said last week-"wrong war at the wrong time for the wrong reasons"
and he at least has pledged definite improvements in policy and a timetable to bring troops home vs Bush's indefinite stance that we will just keep on doing what we're doing as long as it takes.

Media is appallingly incompetent and misguided this year in underreporting and misrepresenting Kerry and propping up babyBush.

7. Bush's "You like me - and what would he do that's different" is the only
"policy" statement coming from Bush. He has little ideas that make it into the speech of the week that cost nil and do less, plus huge idea that cost a huge increase in taxes that the media will not talk about as they sell his "growth and a little more National Debt on your kids means there really will not be a tax hike - and it won't hurt the ecomony by raising interest rates, killing investment, causing inflation,- we said growth didn't we" campaign.

The media does no thinking - they only read off of the Rove PR sheet.

Indeed you saw today on the NBC TODAY SHOW that Matt Lauer would even throw into his interview with Kitty Kelly the Rove Stage directions - act shocked - you're a liar - grudges - some papers are questioned as possible forgeries, white house aid says your a liar.

An amazing media whore. And tomorrow he reads email sent by the GOP for him to read on the air.

I do love my GE/NBC/mediawhores - Jack Welch used the chain on Tim on election night 2000 quite well and showed us all the power of the paycheck - and how guys like Russert will sell their mother for an extra dollar.

10. No, I think * does have a plan
it's to take this war and milk it for all Halliburton (etc.) can. It's a cash cow, this war is, and they don't want to change a thing. Except perhaps to fine-tune the profiteering.

9. They want to trap him.
They want him to foolishly lay out a detailed plan for Iraq that they can make into political fodder, rip to shreds and riducule until after Nov. 2 at which time, if reselected, they will proceed to implement it for lack of any plan of their own. It will be called the Bush Doctrine.

11. Kerry's message is out there
All I have to do is check his website to find out what he stands for. Since the media is sleeping on the job, it makes very difficult for people without a computer or internet connection to get a full grasp on John Kerry.

13. Exactly right! When is this war going to end?
Are we closer to the end or the beginning?
When will we get control over the whole of Iraq?
Where are the next round of troop replacements coming from?
How much longer before we can turn over the country to Iraqi forces?
When can we expect troop level reductions?
How much more will the American tax payer have to pay before this is over.

There is no definitive answer for any of these questions. But that's not surprising because the media isn't asking.
