Seven weeks to go today !
Forty-nine days! Plenty of time for the race to change courses a couple of times. But we need to be careful not to fritter away the days on issues that are controversial but will never be resolved, such as "miliary documents are fake", etc. As Paul Krugman stated this morning in his column, national security issues override all other domestic issues. Our Party needs to understand this. We need to attack Bush and the Repubs on issues they are perceived to be strong on, and not just forfeit those issues to them.

Leadership, safety, Iraq, "war on terror" are issues we cannot pussyfoot around. We have to tackle them headon or we will be standing at the bridge scratching our heads on election day. I have said this for some time and Paul Krugman now believes the same, it seems. Forget the passive language. There has to be some sharp contrasts drawn between the two candidates. Otherwise, we will continue to cross our fingers and hope...

1. Kerry Still For War?
If he is he will lose, in fact when he said," even knowing there were no WMD he would still vote for war," he lost the election. Reminds me of Mondale saying, " I will raise your taxes, and so will my opponent, he won't tell you and I just did. " Mondale lost right there, and I fear Kerry has to. Explain to me how anyone other then a Neo-Con would vote to attack Saddam if they knew how this was going to turn out and that he was never a threat to America. I think Kerry's statement was stunningly arrogant and stupid. Is Kerry afraid to win? Of course, I will vote for Kerry, and I know this will be slammed but it needs to be talked about before it is to late. Kerry needs to flip flop big time on this issue if he wants to win.
