A thread for the DUers who don't understand
that Gallop, CNN, Tweety, etc. have a job to do, and that job now that chimp's convention is over is to make him seem "inevitable" and thus to suppress turnout.

here's a thread for you to post questions or, if you're freepers,
moronic whining, so that other DUers may address your concerns with answers based on experience, logic, truth, scientific experiments, Ouija board sessions, etc.

I'll start with a little memory:

Some of you may also remember the same inevitablizing happening in 2000. I remember standing in a Gore State headquarters in On Oct 28 and having Wolf Blitzer say, "Well, at least according to the latest CNN/whatever poll, this election appears to be over."

The only way wolfie gets what he wants is if you believe his bull shit. So why do you believe his bull shit?

3. The exact same people told us that Kerry's campaign was dead and
it worked well to dry up his funding. No one would donate to a campaign with no chance.

Day in and day out for about 4 months.

Kerry pulled it through.

4. Tweety said "this election appears to be over" on day 2 of the RNC
I bought "Outfoxed" yesterday. Originally I thought "I know all I need to know about Fox." I was wrong. It should be required viewing for anyone who watched cable news...five minutes a day or 5 hours, if you watch Fox / MSNBC / CNN, this little documentary will make things abundantly clear to you.

It's important to understand that Fox has a crystal-clear, neo-conservative agenda. It's also important to understand that MSNBC witnessed Fox's power and wanted a little of their own. Enter Joe Scarborough...the man MSNBC hired because Sean Hannity already had a job at Fox.

10. No. I mean polls and reporters bought and paid for by the White House
which comprises the majority of cable news networks and nearly all of the White House press corps. But don't take my word for it--read any of the excellent and exhaustively reserached books on the subject.

6. I don't believe his bullshit.

To help keep spirits up among my dem friends, I send out emails with other poll numbers that aren't being flogged by the big business media along with my analysis that this election is going to be close and it is all about turnout. And increasing turnout is labor intensive. So don't feel bad, don't feel sad, get out and VOLUNTEER!

I have been registering voters since spring. I doubt most of the folks I have signed up show on a poll of 'likely' voters. I doubt they care what wolfie has to say either, he is so lame. Why doesn't CNN fire him? Surely they could find SOMEONE better?

9. Exactly!
Almost all the polls in 2000 had Bush winning the popular vote, and even the worst efforts of Katherine Harris couldn't prevent Gore from winning it nationwide.
