Howard Stern registering people on-line
Coming into work today I heard Stern announce he'd put up an on-line voter registration form on his web-page and strongly urged those who were sick of Bush to register while dissuading those who aren't not to bother, remarking, "He's already got enough maniacs voting for him." Would've been nice to have started weeks or months ago, but hopefully this'll manufacture a load of votes from the marginalized/aloof fringe.

A copy of Howard's message to his throngs:

Hey Now!

Anyone who listens to the show knows how I feel about Bush and his buddies taking the country down the toilet.

The show is under siege. Stem cell research is stifled. Free speech is endangered. The environment is being ruined. Court appointments, the freedom to have an abortion and everything that makes our country great are about to be compromised for the next four years.

You have the power to change all of these things by voting on election day, but you cannot do that unless you are registered to vote. Please take the time to register right now, so all Howard Stern fans can unite and tell the President we don't want him in office anymore. Kick his frigging ass out of office and send him back to the ranch where he spends most of his time anyway.

We can not sit by while our country, its borders, airports and ports are no safer than before 9-11. Iraq is a mess and Osama Bin Laden still walks the earth. We have never taken a back seat in any election. I've always spoken openly about my support for Bill Clinton, The great Govenor George Pataki, Christy Todd Whitman, and Mayor Guilliani.

Please join me in changing our country for the better. I'm not a democrat and I'm not a republican, I'm an independant thinker who sees the writing on the wall for this radio show and this country. Vote Kerry. If you are thinking of voting for Bush you don't need to register here but if you are leaning toward Kerry please consider voting with us. Use this registration process to stand up for the show and the country.

Your Pal,
Howard

2. I think this will be effective
And I still hope Kerry will consider giving him an interview. It really can't hurt him.

3. When Howard Stern is the voice of the opposition,
things are getting interesting. I love that on his home page, he questions the authenticity of Heather Locklear's breasts right next to a link to Bush facts. Only in America.....

4. I still think this is amazing
Stern has always given me the creeps, but I guess he is forward thinking in the areas that do not involve sexuality, i.e., exploiting exhibitionistic women ;)
