Here is a look at four former advisers to President Clinton who recently joined the presidential campaign of Democratic Sen. John Kerry:
---
MIKE McCURRY
McCurry served the Clinton White House as press secretary from 1995 to 1998 and became one of the more popular presidential spokesmen with the media. He also was one of the most recognizable to the public, the first to allow his daily briefings to be televised.
JOE LOCKHART
Lockhart was Clinton's third press secretary, a deputy to McCurry when he replaced McCurry in October 1998, and served until October 2000. He is a veteran of presidential campaigns and is adroit at framing bad news in the best light possible. He was Clinton's press secretary during the Monica Lewinsky scandal and impeachment.
JOEL JOHNSON
Clinton's senior adviser for policy and communications, Johnson promoted the legislative and policy goals of the White House. He served as staff director for the Senate Democratic Leadership under then Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle, D-S.D., before joining the Clinton administration.
DOUG SOSNIK
Sosnik was a top political adviser to Clinton for nearly all of his eight years in office, traveling frequently with the president and serving as one of his closest confidants. Sosnik was senior adviser to the president for policy and strategy from 1998 until leaving the administration in early 2000. Before that, he was Clinton's political director during the 1996 re-election campaign.
