and wanted to point out that George W. Bush said THIS on August 3, 2004 in his (comedic and legendary) speech to minority journalists:

"One of the biggest fears many Iraqi citizens have is that we're not a country of our word...and they're fearful that the United States will once again say something and not mean it. I say "once again," because you might remember at different times during Iraqi history they were -- they believed they heard something, in terms of U.S. support, and it didn't happen. And then there was a lot of death as a result of unfulfilled expectations."

Poppy Bush encouraged Kurds and Shiites to revolt during the Gulf War of 1990-91. His administration promised support. When they did try and revolt, Bush broke his promise of support and let them be SLAUGHTERED by Saddam.
