Haven't you wanted to thank Governor Dean in person?
Here's your chance to thank him, at the home of the first member of Congress to
step up to the plate and endorse him last spring:

Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren Thank her in person also!

Also in attendance:
Future Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.
Victory is in sight!

We will be sending e-vites but in the meantime here are the details. RESERVE EARLY!
We want a big joyous crowd there to give Governor Dean a real Bay Area love-fest welcome!

SEPTEMBER 30, 2004

Republican William Bennett and Democrat Howard Dean will debate opposing political ideologies and key election issues on Thursday, September 30, in Portland, Maine, as part of the upcoming Fall Conference of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC).

The unique debate, titled "The Maine Event," begins at 1 p.m. at the Holiday Inn By the Bay and pits together two of the nation's most powerful political voices in a rare no-holds barred debate on contrasting party philosophy, and their views of what issues will impact who America chooses as President.

The debate will precede the nation's first Presidential election debate between President George W. Bush and challenger Senator John Kerry, scheduled for later that evening.

For further information or for press credentials contact Alan D. Crockett, 202-682-4301 or acrockett@acec.org

I believe there is another of these Dean/Bennett debates, I think they are a series.

1. Hey, someone asked where he is. As usual it is dropping.
Drop drop drop.

Why does anyone ask if they don't want to know. Why bother to start things up.

6. Welcome. His paid appearances can not be posted at the blog.
There are a lot of those, but they have to be put together at the forums not the blog...it is a PAC.

4. He's here in Minneapolis, MN, with Molly Ivins tonight
at the Edina Barnes & Noble. Anybody in the Mpls/St Paul area should get out there VERY SOON, because it is sure to be a full house.

Besides, this thread needs a good :kick: :D

(BTW, Dennis Kucinich was in town last weekend. He drew a crowd of around 200 at a suburban house party, where he talked about the need to elect Kerry and other Democrats this year. Kucinich won 17% of the primary vote in MN, and has a very loyal support base here, who have teamed up with progressives from the Dean, Kerry and Edwards campaigns to form the MN Progressive Caucus).

IMHO Kerry needs Dean more than Dean needs Kerry right now. Dean has proven that he has the ability to shake up the grassroots, and get them motivated and organized. Dean and his supporters will play a VITAL role this year, and into the future as well.
