I'll never understand why some repeatedly vote to screw themselves over!!!

I'm currently coordinating a voter registration table on the campus of a local community college. We've been very successful, and since this area is left-leaning, we've had a lot of support from both the student body and the faculty.

So, it was interesting this morning, when I was setting up the table for the volunteers, when a pair of College Police strolled by. One of our tablers, a born salesman, greeted the cops and asked if they needed to register, and if they were voting for "the right candidate". One of the cops replied, "Never in a million years would I vote for Kerry."

Now, unless this cop makes over $200,000 a year, how is he serving his own interests? Is he just believing the "values" and "law and order" bullshit that the repugs spew like so much sewage? Is he not aware of the stand of the majority of police unions in support of Kerry? Or how *'s tax cuts are taking cops off the street?

Don't misunderstand me, I'm still positive, I still think we'll take this election, and I'm working my ass off to ensure that this happens. I just wonder about people like that campus cop.

I thought being a campus cop was a cushy job, with little danger, and you still get to carry a gun and wear a badge and uniform. So, what's so bad about it, that they "need to be tortured"?

they it is a matter of power over others. And it is especially easier over much younger people.

The point of my statement before was in regards to the campus police not voting in their best interest. They must like suffering so of course they would vote against their best interest.

but I think a lot of these people confuse social and political issues. They don't get that social issues are used to divide and conquer us by the Repubs so they can continue to rake in the money while the rest of us sink.

But basically, they don't care about anything except molesting kids.

I know of three (3) child molesters who are low income and voting against their own economic interests because they identity with the Republican Party's stance on family values. Basically this means that the man is "lord" and females and children are chattels that the lord may use as He wishes. These people will cut their own throats in order to indulge their sick sexuality.
