For the past 8 years we have lived a nightmare with that vile man named Bush in the White House. He tried his damndest to ruin America and America's reputation around the world.......I sometimes wondered whether we would ever take back the country from the religious right.

My husband became so fed up and despondent over it all that we upped and moved to the UK 3 years earlier than we planned to (DH is British) so that we could at least have some semblance of sanity in our lives.

But today has finally come and we now have President Obama in office and hopefully a new age dawning. No.....I don't think President Obama will be able to cure all that's wrong with the world...........but he'll certainly do a helluva lot better than he who has finally vacated 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

The long nightmare is over. Hallelujah!

3. I can remember reading those here who believed that Bush would never leave.

That there would be a coup and marshal law. I don't think we will be hearing from them now.
