Eight years of my life lost to a bad internet connection

I bought plastic champagne glasses and ginger ale, and set them out and 11:45 AM. No internet. Just got it back. DIDN'T SEE THE SWEARING IN LIVE. I waited until 12:01, then a held toast to our new Prez and VP anyway.

So I had to settle for the replay--Obama didn't muff the words, Roberts did. And watching the Obamas and Bidens wave Georgie's helicopter goodbye was worth its weight in gold. Well, I'll make up for it tonight, with real champange and sweet potato pie and whoever is left standing around here.

2. You actually beat them to the punch
the swearing in did not happen until about 12:03 EST. But some say Obama was already president for 3 minutes at that point.
