It's turning towards Kerry---
News events and things outside the power of the presidential campaigns to control are shifting decidedly towards the election of John Kerry ...

Iraq is not just a quagmire - it is becoming a pit of chaos. If this is now the main battleground in Bush's 'war on terror', then Bush is an incompetent commander-in-chief and the US is losing. W stands for WRONG on Iraq.

The Seymour Hersh book reminds us of the shame Bush brought upon this country by tacitly approving of the torture in Iraq and Cuba.

The Texas Air National Guard story is morphing into a question about GWB's illicit cocaine use in the 1970s. What was he doing in Alabama? Why did he not take that physical examination? It's a question of character, isn't it?

The Kitty Kelley book sounds like it paints a portrait of the Bush family as a criminal enterprise ... It is about time some of these stories about the Bushes were raised and investigated. Who are these people running our country?

Of course, there is still the stagnant economy, the Plame investigation, the spy scandal, North Korea, Putin becoming a dictator ...

It is turning, folks. Get ready to pile on and pound the Bushies into the ground.

3. the next big dates that I have coming-up on the calendar:
- the debates: one good quip can end this all for Kerry or Bush. Let's hope that the talent is helping Kerry with his one-liners; sadly, those are what make the news.

- the release of F9/11 on DVD: I'll be a good chunk of money that Bush takes another dip in the polls after this is released on October 5th. He took a dip when it was released in theatres, and a relatively small number of folks saw it then. Imagine a hundred million more seeing it in the following month, and then remember that one study had ~40% of Republicans rating it well after seeing it. Bush should be scared of this..

6. Kitty Kelly has Laura selling dime bags - which may explain killing her BF
Edited on Tue Sep-14-04 06:52 PM by papau
Laura killed her boyfriend in the auto accident via running the stop sign and putting her car through his body as she creamed his car.

The big picture of this family - from Ma Barker and her four sons, albeit renamed Barbra Barker -sorry - Barb Bush of the beutiful mind - and her sons - is becoming clear.

9. Sadly, I think you are counting the proverbial chickens here.
Nothing is turning towards Kerry. It should be, but it isn't. That's the dilemma.

A majority want an alternative to Bush*, but Rove (with major help from the inept Kerry campaign) has injured Kerry so much he isn't gaining any traction. A majority just don't see Kerry as a viable choice.

Until the Kerry campaign figures out how to change this dynamic, he's not in a strong position.

10. The media will not let it happen...
The media is the reason why Bush is ahead. The media pounded Kerry by playing the Swift Boat ads for free in August, they (the media) refused to question the swifties, they still report Kerry's testimony in 1971 as anti-veteran (helping the swifties), refused to fact-check the lies told at the RNC, they will never question Bush, they were quick to try to debunk Bush's National Guard docs, etc.

It's hard to win an election when John Kerry's message is distorted and the media try to put the blame on Kerry for not saying what he is been saying for months.

Supporters are pissed at Kerry for not defending himself but he is defensing himself. The media refuses to report it and that's the most frustrating thing in the world. This election was supposed to be a cakewalk but the media is trying really hard to help the other side.

It's so f-ing sad!

11. your right, things are subtely turning on shrub
You know things aren't the way they like when shrub and his people go quiet on anything dealing with his National Guard service. Kerry brought many new people on board and they are sticking it to shrub non stop. Eventually the corporate media will have to ( and have started ) to run stories on shrub. It's a drip effect that I see turning everyday into more of a steady stream.

12. Well my goal is to salute every positive post from now on
And so salud! I have this idea that America is blessed by God or the goddess or somebody just decent, and that we can't go down the tubes. So no matter what, this darkness brought on by those in power and left dark by the media cannot prevail.

14. Tweety on Hardball tonight
actually said he thought it was getting too late for Kerry to pull from behind. That he is so far down and sinking and Tweety just doesn't know if it can be done.

Now, in the spirit of truth - I am paraphrasing - but that is what he said in so many words. And the talking head on the show (I forget who) being "interviewed" by Tweety agreed with the Birdmeister.

The polls could have Kerry in the lead by 99.5% of the poll respondents and it would still report saying Bush has a firm lead in likely voters. Figures are just a mere suggestion to these guys and their agenda.
