It is ridiculous. Honestly, they should have had 3 balls. Commander-In-Chief Ball, Neighborhood Ball, and Youth Ball. The "directional" balls weren't necessary. Just invite each of the people at those balls to the Neighborhood or Youth Ball, depending on their age.

6. As someone who worked in special events, I can tell you that you'd run into a problem of

space pretty quickly if you combined balls. Barack and Michelle seem genuinely happy for the opportunity to thank so many who supported them.

And making quick appearances like this are part of political fundraising, so this is nothing new for them.
