Seriously, how great is Biden? Ripping on Roberts and then Obama's lack of amusement was hilarious.

You can tell Obama was annoyed. Joe will be comedy gold for comedians (in a good way, though).

2. my eyes are too weak
and that image too blurry - I didn't see annoyance on the president's face, it didn't seem to matter to him.

3. Yeah, Obama spent all last night defending
Roberts but the BBC still got it wrong today, according to a DUer, when they reported Obama flubbed.

I think Biden's little joke was funny and Obama may have been serious about something else but who knows? :)

9. My guess is
that President Obama (God, I love saying that) is dragging ass today. He had a hyper-emotional day yesterday that lasted almost 24 hours. That had to be physically and emotionally draining. Then, he gets a few hours sleep and he's back on the job. I know that I'd have taken a day off.

14. I don't think it was
as draining for Biden. After all, President Obama was front and center, the single focus of attention all day long. Biden was important, but kind of the guy who sits on the sofa, going "You are correct, sir. Ho. Ho. Ho." He could kind of sit down, take a load off, bug out of the reviewing stand early -- go to the john, whatever. All the cameras were on President Obama constantly from early morning to early morning.

6. Great put down by Joe....
Now we'll move on. I love how "real" these guys are. It feels like something that would happen at your own company.

If they can maintain this exceptional "touch" with the common-man...we're in luck!

Obama probably just wants the whole flubgate thing to go away. That was funny as hell though.

legally, sooner or later.. Further embarrassment of him cannot help .. Joe needs to be a little less flippant in public:)

I saw a few comments about him hamming it up - he's a hoot! - but I never found any footage of he and Jill walking.

Edited on Wed Jan-21-09 03:23 PM by CreekDog
Taylor is less than 2 years older.

Come to think about it, I have no idea what he was getting at, but I get the feeling with Joe, you just put a quarter in him and see what happens.

25. LOL!
It is kind of funny in a way. Anyone that doesn't think Biden will do this kind of thing again doesn't know shit about ol' Joe. If Biden has proved anything over his long career, it is that he has the dangerous twin threats of LOVING TV cameras and a propensity to engage his mouth before his brain. You can bet every nickel you have that Joe will step in it at some point by mouthing off about one thing or another in the next four years.

31. Remember the odd couple with Gore and Bush when the election was not decided yet?
That was a hilarious episode. They need to do that with Obama and Biden. I love Joe, he can't help himself. Our Prez is just trying to be polite to Roberts.

Just one of many to come Biden gaffes. Comedians are going to love him, especially since Obama doesn't provide much in the way of commedy gold.
