6. Exactly
Nothing really happened after Watergate, nothing happened after Iran-Contra and they came back worse than ever. If Bushco is not held accountable now, then any gains made while Obama is president will be gone the minute this group (or their friends) regain power and they'll be that much worse.

3. I'm betting that they spied on the Dems, too
That would explain how things like the pictures of Kerry in the Bunny suit and a photo of Kerry windsurfing showed up.

4. I think that was the whole point.
They didn't give a shit about terrorism, they just wanted to be able to spy on their political enemies with impunity.

9. Bush spying activities are very Nixion-like and very KGB-like.

I hope he goes to jail for his behavior, and I am sure he will rot in hell when the good Lord takes him.

10. From what I've heard these last two days, that sounds like
an understatement.

These people really need to be held accountable. Imagine - what we now know is a mere fraction of what we DON'T know... I wonder if that'll even out. I hope it isn't one of those things that always remains a mystery, under lock and key or "confidential" for some idiotic "right" to non-disclosure because of a past held office or something.

Some things shouldn't be made public and that's entirely appropriate, but this sort of stuff is the type of thing (it seems to me) that, if anyone has an interest in knowing what's going on, it's the American people if it is abundantly clear that the people in charge were doing very wrong things...

Or maybe I'm being too reactive. I don't think so, though.

11. Anyone reading this want to speculate on bloggers along with reporters being "bushed"?
I have often thought that something like that was being done. Hope if it is true that it comes out in the wash!
