Kerry Critiquing Bush's Economic Record

"The president would have us believe that his record is the result of bad luck, not bad decisions," the Democratic candidate said in remarks prepared for delivery at the Detroit Economic Club on Wednesday. "In fact, this president has created more excuses than jobs. His is the excuse presidency — never wrong, never responsible, never to blame."

Kerry was arguing that the president's response to economic challenges, including three successive tax cuts, had not turned the economy around but helped the wealthy get further ahead.


"He chose time and time again to do nothing to improve our economy or ease the burden on middle-income families. In fact, nearly every choice has made it worse," Kerry said.

Reverses a decade of progress with trigger-happy and batshit-crazy Kim Jong Il, increasing the likelihood of a nuclear attack? Doesn't stick.

Increases al Qaeda's recruiting ability by attacking Iraq while ignoring the real terrorists? Doesn't stick.

Getting us into a horrific quagmire in Iraq? Doesn't stick.

Shreds the First, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, Ninth, Fourteenth, Fifteenth, and Twenty-Sixth amendments to the Constitution (not to mention the Constitution itself), sets fire to the shreds, and then pisses on the fire? Doesn't stick.
