Here are my hopes (postive post).....
I am going to put my trust in Kerry and his people up until the first debate and about a week after, because here is what I think will happen:

I think the American people are a little leery of Kerry at this time and the first debate will allow the American people to see Kerry on the same stage with Bush and will be able to see for themselves that Kerry is not the person they think he is.

They will see he is not the "Mass Liberal" the Bushies try to tag him with and that he is tough, intelligent and capable of being commander in chief.

And I think we have to give Kerry at least a week after so we can see the pundit led critique. If it goes well, then our fears will probably be put to rest and we can all relax a bit. But this 90 minutes will most likely be the most important 90 minutes of not only Kerry's life, but our lives as well. And I think Kerry realizes it.

CNN showed some stats and something like 38 to 45 million people will watch the debates.

One thing Kerry needs to do though is mimic John Edwards' tactic of squeaking out more time. Did every notice how sly Edwards is when it comes to sucking up ten, fifteen and thirty extra seconds here and there? He is the master at that.
