1. Since this is using "likely voters"
The REAL poll is probably more like Kerry 47%-Bush 46%

3. If you take into consideration....
the margin of error it is a close race....but I sure would like to see Kerry on top and not CAPTAIN AWOL!

Kerry needs Florida and Pennsylvania or else I dont think he can win....but then again I am no expert....we shall see.

20. He doesn't need Florida.
He DOES need PA. Getting Ohio would be a big boost too. But if he gets (which is looking like a good chance) NV, WV, and NH, we're still fine without FL.

12. That's not that bad of a sample for LV, probably a full sample around 900.
And that's not bad for a state poll.

18. A full sample at 900?? tell that to the pollsters.
I've seen polls in the major media lately, with most polling groups down around 500-600. They're getting smaller and smaller. I really don't let a group of 1,000 people, who happen to be home watching tv and answering the phone, speak for me.

7. This can't be accurate
Too many people have been evacuated because of the coming hurricane, and too many people still haven't gotten their homes in order from the last hurricane.

Regardless of the polls, Florida will go to Kerry by a minimum of 7 points.

He heard it here first.

15. Unless the voting is rigged again
I saw a documentary last night about the 2000 vote and the Florida recount. It was chilling to see the lengths that Jeb and his mistress went through to prevent likely democratic voters from the polls.

9. SUSA is the most innacurate
They use automated polling. Voters never actually talk to a live person, but are giving answers to an automated voice recognition system. This makes it much harder to get an accuarate sample as most people (me included) simply hang up when you hear one of these automated calls. I saw an article in Slate or Salon a while back talking about this.

13. That's what Rasmussen does too,
SUSA has not polled presidential election yet, but their claim to fame is nailing the recall and Arnold's subsequent election.

17. Anyone could have predicted that one. I"m not impressed.
Survey USA is a republican firm, I'm certain of it.. I have yet to see them do a poll that seems accurate. I'm wary of all the new polling firms popping up... I'm sure we could find out who owns this group, and who funds it... they are ALWAYS putting Bush far ahead of other polls.

10. That is actually not a bad number
A six point lead is not insurmountable. Given the month Kerry had as well as Bush throwing billions of dollars into the state--to be that close is actually pretty freaking good.

14. likely Voters?
in other words they are saying they aren't counting minorities and Young voters. Who they assume aren't "likely" to vote. I think they'll be suprised.
