Karen Felthauser Runs For Office
"Karen Felthauser, an avid supporter of Governor Dean, has decided to run as a write-in candidate for the 52nd District seat of the Texas House of Representatives."

SNIP..."For years, Karen has been an active member of Williamson County's educational community. She is a certified teacher and a member of Education Round Rock, the Texas Federation of Teachers, the Texas State Teachers Association, and two Parent Teacher Associations. "I chose to run because I don't believe the current representative adequately addresses the very real needs of Williamson County's District 52 residents," says Felthauser..."

2. She attends our Kerry Meet-ups. I have to say that she is a very
courageous woman because our county is as republican as it gets. Hopefully, she will change that.

3. At least it is a start.
She is making a point, and that is important. Little by little.

5. Just saw that a write-in candidate in NH got on the ballot in Nov.
Here is a snip from her post:

"I'm running for State Representative in the New Hampshire House. Of the 154 write-in votes I received 137. The Town Clerk and the Elections Administrator were really surprised. They said no one ever gets that many write-ins. So, next door neighbor, we Dean inspired candidates are on our way. I really have my work cut out for me in the next 45 days. Luck to both of us in getting elected.

Posted by Marcia - at September 16, 2004 12:32 AM"

I just thought this was great. Real inspiration. Marcia is a long-time Deaniac.
