Dear XX & Family--

Haven't heard from you for awhile, so I thought I'd check in. Howya doin'?

Well, here in this Commie house, I am, as usual FURIOUS. I mean, words just don't describe the way I feel right now. Anybody looking at my lifestyle for the past year would certify me as positively INSANE. I sit here at the computer ALL day, reading NEWS, and it's driving me batshit, but what can I say? I feel I must, I MUST know what's going on with this election, what sneaky shit are they going to pull on us next. Just when you think, nah, they can POSSIBLY go any LOWER, well, they surprise you the very next DAY with something so vile and disgusting that it staggers believe. If this was a movie, the incompetence and disastrous foreign policy would be funny. As it is real life, it's a shameful tragedy.

Dad just got back from a month and a half down in Nevada with my grandmother. As usual, he came back totally Foxified. That boy done drank the Kool-Aid. I didn't think it was possible for someone so intelligent and so rightfully suspicious of politics and politicians to buy such lies wholesale, but there you go--it happens EVERY FUCKING TIME he goes down there for extended periods. Just STAGGERING.

I guess I need to tell you that if our current pResident is re-(s)elected, I'm putting the house up for sale and getting out of this country. I don't see how he could possibly win legitimately, but I know he will lie, cheat, or steal to win this election. The only POSSIBLE way we can win is massive voter turn-out. MASSIVE. We will probably have to sneak into Canada or Mexico in order to get a flight out, due to MMMM's... circumstances. Anyway, if the asshat wins again and we leave, I will be forced to leave virtually everything I own behind, and I want you to have whatever you want except my cds and a few other things that I hope you will send to me at some point, especially, you must take the family stuff, if you're going to stay in this country. I personally recommend that you do as I will do and get the hell out. My dear, our wonderful experiment with democracy is OVER if shrub gets this one. The draft is on the way for EVERYONE, women too (18 to 34 now), and conscientious objectors will be "monitored." Does this sound anything at all like N. Korea to you? It sure as hell does to me!

XXXX is with me, so with me. He's coming too. XXXXXXX, I don't know--he will have to discuss and get permission from his dad, of course, but this directly affects him. He thinks I'm nuts, that I spend too much time informing myself, but would YOU want to go die for Israel and Oil? I dunno. The good news is, my MOTHER is voting this year, and she hasn't voted since 1968. She doesn't think it will HELP because shrub will probably steal this election anyway, but just on the OFF CHANCE that it will make a difference, she's voting. I've also got OOOO and JJJJ interested, and XXXX will also be voting, as will I, and I haven't voted since I was 18. I hope you and ZZZZ do too. It is so vitally important this year, my love, so vitally important.

Anyway, I guess you can see by this letter, I am seriously DISTURBED. Feel free to dismiss this as an unhinged rant, but I don't know what news you are getting there in the boondocks of Idaho, and I don't know what the situation there is, but do me a favor and burn this letter when you're done reading it, okay? You never know what's going to come back and bit you in the ass at the end of the day.

On to other things--i.e., no more politics. How is Bee-Bop doing? Is he still Chuckie, or has he moved on to become something worse? Send me some pictures! What's the situation with the brothers-in-law? How's ZZZZ's job? What are YOU doing? Do you have a phone yet?

XXXX and XXXXXXX are back in school again. XXXX just got back from 2 weeks with your cousins. He reckons he had a good time. MMMM is busy working on his website, zerostatemusic.com, which is up and running, if you ever get a chance to see it. He's playing another gig this weekend, I guess, in Portland. You might also want to check out MY blog if you're so inclined--unslinkychild.blogspot.com, but I warn you, it hasn't been updated for quite some time, and I don't know if I should be scared to write more in it or not. Be warned--it's mostly politics dealing with this assinine war.

XXXX seems to have got a bunch of shitty classes this first quarter--I mean of absolutely NO value to him, whatsoever. One of his ELECTIVES this term is to be an aid in one of XXXXXXX's classes. The other was calligraphy and drawing. Hell, you and I BOTH know the boy can't draw to save his life and can barely write his NAME in cursive! He wasn't able to change anything cuz he was in CA at the time.

He got back ##--the day after his birthday. I wasn't able to do anything special for him this year because we are just TOO broke. I guess the child support your dad's not paying anymore really DID make a difference! I ended up just giving him $20 and apologizing my ass off! Welcome to adulthood, kid. Don't that just suck?

Hell, I wasn't even able to buy them school clothes or supplies this year! Guess who did? Not your dad or Mellonhead. XXXX bought them! I tell you, it just makes me ILL! You know that no matter HOW broke we always were, there was ALWAYS enough money for SOMETHING. Well, honey, not THIS year!

XXXXXXX's classes are pretty good. He's got Art (what else?), computer beginnings (or something like that), graphics, along with the usual crap he has to take--English, Science, History, etc. He doesn't seem as pissed off as he usually was about school, but it's early yet--he MAY change his mind.

MMMM's got a computer again, so he's in heaven. Guess who bought it for him? XXXX!!! We're paying him back slowly, but since he only paid $300 for it, it's not so bad. PLUS, XXXX's paychecks have been pretty shitty lately, we've been able to kick him $20 every now and then to work it off. I think I know why the guy sold it to XXXX--it was LOADED with porn and had about 80 viruses on it. It also came with a printer/fax/scan/copier thingie. MMMM's joy knows no bounds!

I also have a computer now--a MAC!!!!!!! WOOOOO HOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! Ring bells, dance madly, cheer in the streets!!!!!!!!! You remember Don? Lynn's husband, well, he lent it to me cuz he had an extra. Well, after MMMM got his, I was supposed to give it back to him. Every time he'd come over here to beat MMMM or Dad's ass at chess (actually, they're all pretty much evenly matched), he'd eyeball that old sewing machine I spent weeks refinishing. Finally, when I said I wanted to keep the Mac and how much money did he want for it, he said no money, but he wanted the sewing machine! Well, I deliberated for a couple of weeks, and it kinda broke my heart, but I felt just TOO guilty--besides, I wasn't doing anything with it, so I gave it to him in trade for this Mac.

Now, it's not perfect, but it doesn't accumulate viruses or spyware, and it doesn't crash every week like MMMM's does. It's old (not brand new like MMMM's) and the mouse connection is fucked, but easy to get around (has two connections), and some web sites don't come up, but hey, I can live with that. It also doesn't have a Word program, just TextEdit, but likewise, I can live with that. Don has a Word program that I can upload if I want to, but I'm not sure this machine has the memory to handle it, so I don't think I'll bother--I'll just use MMMM's if I need Word.

Anyway, I guess that's about all the news. Please write back to me and let me know what's going on.

XXXX is first son. XXXXXXX is second son. XX is daughter I am writing to. OOOO is friend of both sons. JJJJ is stray that lives with us, and MMMM is partner, but we're not yet married cuz his fucking wife won't let him get divorced (he's from another country) even tho they've been separated since 1995.
