Madison WI:Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry speaks to supporters
Edited on Wed Sep-15-04 02:30 PM by DanaM

Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry (news - web sites) speaks to supporters at a rally in Madison, Wisconsin September 15, 2004. Kerry said on Wednesday the United States needs to make the 'right choices' on the economy, and faulted U.S. President George W. Bush (news - web sites) for blaming others and offering excuses for the White House's own failed economic policies. He said Bush has since taking office in 2001, presided over a loss of 1.6 million private-sector jobs, a $1,500 drop in the typical family's income and $3,500 increase in its health care costs, falling U.S. corporate investment and exports, a soaring trade deficit, and tax cuts that failed to stimulate growth and caused the budget deficit to balloon. 4. And the best the Boy King can do
Is preach in front of a selected group of people who have already applied blood to loyalty oaths. How sad.

9. That's ok
We have this incredible dynamic happening in which everything is under the radar. I'm really jazzed, cause it keeps the everyday Pug from realizing what's going on. So they will just go humming along and thinking Kerry's toast, and probably won't even bother to vote. And then...

POW.

*does the Kerry war-dance, which is invisible to anyone watching the mainstream media*

7. Finally
I think Kerry has finally got into his campaigning groove by calling Bush the blame and excuse president. He needs to keep hammering on this.

That crowd is very impressive. I hear he's getting turn outs like that most everywhere he goes. It's definitely a good sign.

8. I just got home from there,
and it was awesome!!! The rally even had to be moved, because of bad weather, and still the place was packed!!!

Sheryl Crow started things off with a few songs (wow!! :D ), and John Kerry gave a kick-ass speech! :bounce:

It was just great, and I know that everyone is energized. He also said that he'd be back!!! so he could do a rally at the Capitol, as originally planned.

19. I hope so
I had to miss today's rally. But I hope Kerry comes back to Madison once more for a capital square rally.

10. There would've been at least one more
if not for the rain. Because of the rain, the rally was moved from within walking distance of campus. Kerry was supposed to start speaking at 1, and I had classes till 12:55- then I would have walked to the square. But the last shuttle left @12:30, so I was out of luck. Nice picture to whoever found that- I'm sure it will be on the front page tomorrow.
