Edited on Wed Sep-15-04 03:23 PM by saracat
is a ploy to get him to waste time and money and pull him away from the battleground states?

6. Believe me that poll is crap
Especially considering every other poll shows Kerry with about a 20-point lead in NY. This is like one a while ago with Kerry leading by 3 in Caleefoyhnya. Don't but it for a second.

2. I don't watch ANY video broadcast news
This especially applies to Cable News.
Corporate propaganda. Very little truth comes of it. More interesting to consider what they are NOT reporting.

3. Doubt it
I sincerely hope that campaign decisions aren't made based on news-organization polls, but on their internal polling.

Rather, this is a ploy to disparage potential Kerry voters in battleground states.

4. In New York?

Yes. They will seek to keep power for these corrupt oligarchs by any means necessary.

Kerry needs to stay the hell out of New York for two reasons:

1) He doesn’t need to go there. He will win it
2) He’ll end up pissing off Yankee fans with a Red Sox comment

Just leave him out of there. Just as Bush hasn’t done much in Virginia (despite polls showing this state close), in the end New York will go to where it is suspected.

Hell, Bush doesn't even bother, except for the RNC.

7. Don't the campaigns have their own internal polling?
I'd hate to think Kerry was relying on the crappy Time and Newsweek polls to make any decisions.

10. Yes--the campaigns do have their own internal pollsters--
and as a general rule, they poll a much larger group of people meaning a much lower margin of error than the media outlets do--therefore they know exactly which states they have a chance in and which they do not. Ignore the media. K/E know the real deal on where they're ahead and where they need help.

9. I do not trust "corporate media" polls
The documentary "Orwell rolls over in his grave" is a must see about how polls are manipulated by the corporate media.

13. It's all part of the Shrub plan
Plant lots of weak-ass polls showing Shrub charging ... keep whispering into the ears of the TV talking heads that the election is all but over and that Kerry is toast ... sit back and watch the talking heads babble about Shrub's inevitability ... hope that Dems become so discouraged they stay home.

14. funny--CNN used the same phrase to describe that 9 point spread
funny becasue when Kerry is on the Down die, it''s "Kerry DOWN" not "Kerry inching up on the gap."

They are so biased it's insane.

15. I'm trying my hardest not to watch any TV news
I'll read the Boston Globe (though it is bending over backwards to prove it isn't biased by clawing Kerry whenever it can) and prowl around on DU, but I cannot bear watching those shallow, blow-dried buffoons nibble on Shrub's ear anymore.
