3. Rather was around and successful long before Rove was a player on the
national scene. Ol' Dan will be around after Karl Rove is figuratively run out of Washington on a rail.

4. Unlike...
Cahill VS Rove, I think Rather VS Rove has a very nice ring to it. Besides, Rather is pretty tough and I can't see him throwing away his career in the midnight hour on junk. I would not be surprised if he knew much more...

6. I agree.
It's easy to play up how smart Rove is. It can seem that way, but basically, he just lacks any sort of ethics and relies on the ignorance of others. He's out classed.

10. that is what I keep saying
they might be sorry they pounced on "memogate" because he hasn't laid it all out on the table but he wil...he will...they have just ripped the poor guy apart...but I think RATHER will have the last word...

I dont' think the WH wanted all this attention on this...all this investigating into the memos...so now Rather has to go out and dig more (maybe he already had it) and find more dirt on this ass...it will probably backfire in their face...

5. Rather hasn't dropped all his veils yet
Either he can prove the documents or real, or he has a way of proving the whole thing was a setup and he was running a "reverse sting" by standing by the story. Or he's got something else to reveal that will make his controversy look like a garden party?

Rather isn't going down on some forged memo racket.

I wouldn't be surprised if he was now up half the night looking through ALL of Bush's dealings, in addition to the National Guard stuff.

The fact that the White House never answered the five questions and has had remarkably little to say about it tells you that they are worried. They should be worried. Bush is lying and they know that. In February WH claimed all the docs were out. But trickle, trickle trickle just like piss down a scared boy's trousers. The WH probably wishes folks would shut up about it. Besides, Rather doesn't have to tell them squat. The longer it goes on the worse it is for Bush. Give em three weeks like swift boat because unlike some, I do not think it is wiping out Kerry's message. His last week's worth of soundbytes are in every paper delievered to my house, on every cable show and in every broadcast I am picking up on my radio.
