5. BUSH '04 = DRAFT '05
We need to spread this meme far & wide - especially on colleges & among all young adults. Parents can't be too eager to have their children conscripted as cannon fodder either.

11. Hate to burst your bubble....
A return to the draft was sponsored by Rangel. BTW, no Pub's have been sponsoring such a bill in the past two years, only Democrats.

12. Hate to bust YOUR bubble, freeper
but Rangel sponsored a bill to change the rules of a draft so that rich white kids aren't excluded. Rangel's bill would include men and women and limit deferments for college, etc. The reason why no repukes have sponsored such a bill is because they like the draft as it exists right now, with the rich kids excluded.

Just because Rangel wanted to change the rules of the draft (which still exists... 18 year old men still have to sign up when they turn 18) that does not mean that Rangel or any Democrat would want to USE the draft.

Repukes, however, have it on the agenda.

Good luck with your short stay here, freeper.

That answers my question.

Edwards wouldn't look someone in the eye and say it so directly if it weren't true.

God bless em.

But I know that draft boards are even now being assembled. The Vet for Kerry coord in my state said so. If she knows what she's talking about, then Bush will institute it right after election.

Kerry will have a mess to clean up in the gutted military if/when he gets in though. I don't envy him. The military will only be in good hands if he gets in. These guys won't look after them. They'll just use them for fodder.
