Tweety: "CBS is the issue now"
Don't you love it when the press/pundits pretend as if issues and stories drive themselves without ANY help from the media?

"This has become a big story." "Questions are being raised." "This story took on a life of its own."

Hey, Chris - CBS didn't become the issue all by its lonesome. It is the issue now because YOU helped make it the issue by focusing on CBS and not the underlying allegations.

2. The Secretary said that the content was true
I love how they are ignoring her--she reminds me of the secretary at our school-a straight shooter--a good secretary knows her boss's opinion on every worker he has. And she said while he "had fun with Bush" he did not enjoy being defied.

6. I know from personal experience
as a secretary in the 70s that secretaries know these guys a lot better than their wives or families, and men tell their secretaries things that would curl the wives' hair.

3. Notice how none of these shows
asks an average every day American what do you think of docs/allegations regarding those docs

The pundits talk exclusively to one another and deal with Americans through polling data (which they can choose to highlight or not highlight)

BTW,I am soooo sick of the phrase "Some people say"

7. Well, I agree with you, especially about "some people say"
(one of Bush's favorite fudge-phrases), but, on the other hand, it doesn't matter what people think, it matters what the facts are. I get fairly annoyed at the online polls that ask people their opinions on matters of fact. Of course, in an election, people's impressions count. But it's idiotic that impressions rate more than factual matters.

5. Chris thinks he's smarter than Cornell West, too!
How constipated is Matthews' ego? The world may never know.

8. Tweety is covering for his MAN, Bush.
You know that when the Shrub is RE-Defeated this Fall, he and Laura are going to divorce and * will marry Tweety.

Mr. and Mrs. George and Tweety Bush.

:silly:
