I think I scared a Kerry supporter today
Well, not "scared" but maybe freaked them a little. I was in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma today and was behind a car with a Kerry/Edwards sticker. So, I pulled alongside and quickly rolled my window down and thrust out a "thumbs up" at them. They did a doubletake and got next to me (I had kinda passed them) and the dude in the passenger seat looked kinda pissed and said "Who are you looking for?" I said "Your bumper sticker...I love it." And gave the thumbs up again. He said "Oh" and I could see the passenger telling the confused driver what I said.

Then I had to turn. Never did see their reaction after that. They probably thought I was a loon!

1. I thumbs up every one I see
So pleased to see a few popping up in Bush Country

Hey Vet for Kerry! I was talking to the Wisconsin Vets for Kerry Coord. yesterday as I helped her count out bumper stickers for distribution around the state. She was telling me about speaking to Sen. Kerry, and I was telling her what some are saying about the campaign and asking her what Kerry thought of the polls.

According to her, Kerry says the polls are worthless. She no longer pays any attention to them either. As for what others are saying he should be doing right now in the campaign, she commented that he's been at this for 20 years, and that he knows what he's doing by now.

I told her what I've been saying to everyone, that Kerry would not only win, but that it wouldn't even be close.

She got a little Mona Lisa smile on her face, and said that I sounded like Kerry himslef just then.

Remember that is the man who knew he was gonna win in Iowa, folks.

4. Where did you get that picture?
I love it!

Great story too! I've been saying that too. Lots of people think they know how Kerry should be running his campaign, but I think he knows exactly what he's doing.

9. Thanks
I found it in the NYTimes Art Section during the RNC. It's called "John Kerry 1971." I love it too.

I met one of the Dewey Canyon III guys at Kerry HQ too yesterday. Said he'd also been at Dewey Canyon I. Hair down to his shoulders, ends every conversation on the phone with Semper Fi, brother.

2. I totally irritated a repuke
pollster who called yesterday. I told her that anyone who was thinking of voting repuke in local, state and national elections should first see a proctologist and have their head pulled out so they can see what the bush bastards have done to screw up the world. Then they should vote a straight democrat ticket!!!:nuke: :nuke: :nuke: :nuke:

5. I don't like thumbs up reminds me of Abu Ghraib
You remember those photos from Abu Ghraib, right?

Anyway, I prefer a "V" for victory I use it on both Kerry and Bush bumper sticker supporters whenever I encounter them and they see my Kerry sticker too.

7. BTW, I saw a truckload of the hughest Kerry/Edwards signs
They had to be 6 feet by 12 feet each and were stacked in the back of a large pickup truck. I have no idea where they were going - they were much too large for yard signs.

10. Not for my yard they're not!
I gave a thumbs-up, a toot and a wave for the guy I saw today who had this in white tape on the back window of his Suburban:

"DROP BUSH
NOT BOMBS!"
