Right? By the same logic that Andrew Sullivan was using tonight when, for a brief glimmer in time, Paula Zahn actually acted like a real journalist and Howard let him get away with it.

Lest we forget: there's no proof that the thing's a forgery. None. If there are experts coming forward claiming that there is, they're incompetents and functionaries. The burden of proof is on CBS, since they introduced the evidence, but if they can't conclusively prove that it's a copy of a real document, that doesn't make it fake. When someone claims that it's fake, the burden of proof is on them.

I just hope Rather can pull a rabbit out of his hat this time.
