Sen. Gregg begged for a job, and then ran away! What a douche!
The only mistake that President Barack Obama made was feeling sorry for the beggar in the first place.

1. Yeah, WTF was that all about?
I hope Obama isn't entertaining the idea of naming another R -- screw that.

4. Kelly O'Donnell just said Gregg was delighted he was ASKED.
Edited on Thu Feb-12-09 07:06 PM by jenmito
And maybe that's why he took the offer without thinking it through. :eyes:

15. He was delighted until his pathetic party came laid a guilt trip on him.
I can hear the lame right wing pundants now "Obama said he had 3 republican cabinet members, HE LIED!!!"
How sad a state are we in when the 2nd political party in this country is only interested in selfish gains? You know they did this just to take a shot at Obama's attempts at creating a bi-partisan administration. Little by little they are trying to undermine everything the president wants to accomplish. Their goal to take down Obama is clear, now when will Obama call them out on it?

17. Yup. He was definitely pressured by his own party. Just like when Rep. Gingry had to
go groveling to Limbaugh for saying something that didn't make him seem like king of the party. :eyes:

with only one Senator from Minnesota. Even though I thought someone posted that Cronyn was missing..

14. Yeah, Gregg looks like a quitter on this one
Despite Tweety's somewhat obvious attempt to suck up to Gregg (why, I do not know) he looks just awful on this. The Repug's will hate hom for ever taking the job and the NH constituents will see him as weak, indecisive, and caving to peer pressure from Repug's.

18. On Hardball they were musing that maybe Gregg realized that he wouldn't have much power as
Commerce Secretary compared to the Senate.

I mean come on, when was the last Commerce Secretary that made a big splash in that position?

19. Brave Sir Judd Gregg ran away, bravely ran away away...
When McConnell reared his ugly head
he bravely took his seat and fled
yes Brave Sir Judd Gregg turned about
and valiantly he chickened out....

21. Rahm should leak some of the details of Gregg's begging
a few emails in the press could put the lie to Gregg's "they asked me, I should have said no" story.
