I agree. Being a gay man and part of a minority that is one of the last bastions of acceptable bigotry, I tend to be sensitive to the idea that these people are the modern version of the old school racists.
When I see the faces at the Republican convention and hear someone like Santorum speak I think of a part in the movie, "Mississippi Burning", where Gene Hackman relays to Willam Defoe about how his father told him: If you ain't better than a n****r, who are you better than?
