I really think that Bush is headed for a nervous breakdown.
I see the signs. Just take a good look at him at his next campaign appearance. That is if it doesn't happen before then. He knows that he is to blame for so much going wrong in this country and the world. It must be horrifying to know this in you subconscience. Now with Kerry sucker punching him on "responsibility" and "accountability" for what is going on in Iraq and in the economy, he won't be able to take it.

1. His handlers will prop him up with anti-psychotics
He does look terrible, though. I don't know how he sleeps at night.

2. I feel pretty sure he's on anti-depressants
I have nothing against them, they can be extremely useful in the right circumstances.

But for him--no, he ought to have to face the full impact of what he's done.

24. Yeah.
Only thing that would be better would be if I was there when it happened.

With a videocamera, for evidence.

4. He has been codled and 'handled' his entire existence,
in 2000 he wasn't really tested.

Kerry is putting on the pressure. He's never had to face it before...

We shall see.

5. Well, sooner would be better
Not wishing any harm on the president, of course. It's just that if he's going to have a nervous breakdown, it would be better to do it now rather than later. That's all I meant.

7. What conscience?
Sociopaths don't have them. I think the reason he looks like hell is that he's been visiting his good friend Jack Daniels again.

8. I keep hoping for that extra moment
Where he takes a Bob Dole picket fence fall, or pukes on a Japanese diplomat. How many times has he whiped out that we know about? The bike, the segway, the pretzel. I think I am forgetting some, and he is about do for another one. Hopefully one that gets caught on tape. Not to mention one of those "bushisms" that shows his inner core, not one of the cute little "bushisms" that makes people feel the need to say "isn't that cute...its a bushism!".

10. If he actually has a breakdown...
He would either throw a furious insane fit of anger or break down in tears. That's usually what happens.

But if he's already medicated, he might just be kinda "okay" in terms of not being really up or really down.

15. Actually, I'm hoping for...
... a full 360-degree Exorcist head rotation with green slime issuing from every pore while he's addressing a group of Southern Baptists... but, then, that's just me. :P

16. Maybe it starts with just a little tic during the first debate.
Edited on Thu Sep-16-04 01:16 AM by ocelot
A flickering eyelid that gradually becomes a spasm, then a passing grimace. He shuffles his notes and stammers a brief, incoherent answer to the moderator's question as the tic intensifies. Furtively he looks around, causing observers to remember his stricken and vacant appearance on the morning of 9/11. He squints and hiccups.

And then he blows lunch all over the lectern.

But you may feel a little sick
Can you stand up?
I do believe it's working, good
That'll keep you going through the show
Come on it's time to go.

And we will get more 'Food on your family' embarrassments.

13. I agree,
in fact we have seen signs, flipping reporters, walking away from reporters.... things like that...

Sometimes they are dramatic, sometimes they are not

Oh and he is also visiting his friend John Daniels... and I am sure he is medicated as well. Can we all say... Nixon?

he has the nervous breakdown AFTER he no longer has his finger on the nuclear trigger?

to serve as an intermediary... if he does have one...

Yuo think we have anything like that in there? I doubt it

I'd say the Bush administration is full of them. But not exactly what I'd be hoping for.

19. Yep, but he DID keep Nixon away from the toys
for that we should be grateful.

So lets hope there is somebody in this administration with the
power and some remaining morals to do the same

20. But Nixon wasn't nearly as crazy as Shrub.
And the other mutants that hang out with him in the West Wing are raving nutjobs, too. It's not at all reassuring to know that this collection of lunatics and criminals have the nuclear launch codes.

26. Colin Powell.
Might be our only hope. But he is not part of the inner circle, obviously.

God help us if we have to depend on Condi. But maybe the whore would see it as a way of redeeming herself.

21. I'll file this one away as wishfull thinking
Can we stick to the issues that matter and quit trying to be the smartest one in the room. He is a failing President and he will be gone in Nov. breakdown or not.

27. He'll have another "peeance freeance" moment on camera
and begin spraying his urine in a 360 degree circle around him, the way he did when he had a previous nervous breakdown following an alcoholic binge and trashed his apartment, and started peeing on cars when he was younger.
