What happened last night?
Please point me to the 60 Minutes thread - I am looking but so far can't find it. And please provide a recap of last night's events, if you are so inclined. I'm sure it will be useful to others as well.

I was out late last night and came home to see lots of crowing here at DU but I still can't figure out exactly what happened, and I bet I'm not the only one.

Rather interviewed the secretary?

2. Rather did well
He back away from assertions that the documents were authentic and concentrated on their content. He used the secretary to bolster the opinion that, even if the documents turn out to be fake, their content was in line with sentiments that Killian had expressed while he was in the guard. In effect, Rather shifted the focus away from the technical details of the memos (which, IMHO, will turn out to be fake) and onto the questions of whether Bush was AWOL, had protection from above, etc. I think he did well.

4. And is there more to come?
I am waiting for someone to get at the Honorable Discharge claim. I'm sure it's a lie.

7. There's so many threads that I wouldn't know which to point you too
if you do a search on secretary you'll get a huge list.

Here's a link to a CBS story that sums up the interview quite well:

Here's a link to another video thread in case you can view either quicktime or media player:
